Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical authority for the application platform and define architectural guardrails, development standards, and repository practices.
- Review technical solutions, guide development teams, support technical decisions, and act as an escalation point for platform delivery and quality concerns.
- Design, develop, and maintain GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines and automate build, test, deployment, and release processes.
- Define branching, pull request, code review, quality gate, release governance, and repository standards.
- Integrate security controls, automated security checks, and vulnerability scanning into the development lifecycle.
- Automate database change deployment, validation, rollback, and integration with CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with DBA teams.
- Improve platform reliability, maintainability, observability, and developer productivity through standardization, tooling, and automation.
- Collaborate with Development, QA, Support, Security, Infrastructure, Architecture, DBA, product, corporate technology, and vendor teams.
- Support incident analysis, root cause investigations, compliance improvement, and remediation of delivery or platform risks.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in similar roles such as technical lead, software architect, DevOps professional, or software developer with a high-level solution perspective.
- Technical expertise in designing reliable software and experience with Microsoft .NET and ASP.NET applications.
- Strong experience with Angular and modern front-end development practices.
- Solid knowledge of IIS administration and application hosting.
- Experience with microservices architectures, distributed systems, and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
- Strong understanding of software delivery lifecycle management, source control, branching strategies, and repository governance.
- A bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Preferred qualifications include enterprise or corporate experience, collaboration with centralized architecture, infrastructure, security, and DBA teams, enterprise governance and release management knowledge, support for multiple development teams and vendors, DevSecOps experience, automated testing and quality controls, cloud-based application delivery, and monitoring and observability experience.
- Excellent communication in English and French, analytical and problem-solving ability, and the ability to influence technical decisions without direct authority.
