Responsibilities
- Design and build a standardized, scalable Snowflake-based APJ enterprise data warehouse.
- Lead integration and modeling of customer master, sales alignment, JD/secondary sales, market sales, and CRM activity data.
- Develop Snowflake data models and optimize SQL and data-model performance for large commercial datasets.
- Design and implement modular, reusable dbt transformation models, tests, documentation, and data-quality checks.
- Design and operate Fivetran ELT ingestion pipelines from source and external systems into Snowflake.
- Establish data-quality controls, validation rules, business definitions, governance practices, and engineering standards.
- Build curated, analytics-ready data products for Power BI, business intelligence, advanced analytics, data science, and AI.
- Collaborate with data owners, data stewards, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical data models.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience designing and developing Snowflake data warehouses or data marts, including advanced SQL, data modeling, and performance optimization.
- Hands-on experience with dbt data transformation and modeling, including modular reusable models, testing, and documentation.
- Hands-on experience with Fivetran data integration, ELT or data-pipeline design and operations, and source-to-Snowflake troubleshooting.
- Experience with cloud data architecture, ETL/ELT architecture, data warehousing, analytical data modeling, data-quality management, and production-level pipelines.
- Experience using Git for version control and collaborative development.
- Native-level Japanese proficiency, including independent requirements gathering and explaining technical topics to Japanese business stakeholders.
- Business-level English proficiency for collaboration with APJ and global technical and business stakeholders.
- Pharmaceutical or life sciences experience is preferred.
- Experience with pharmaceutical commercial data, HCP/HCO customer master data, sales territory or alignment data, secondary sales data, market sales data, CRM/customer engagement data, Power BI, AI/ML data products, master data management, data governance, or data-quality management is preferred.
