Responsibilities
- Build and maintain synthetic and load-testing frameworks, including test development, execution, and reporting.
- Apply AI capabilities to test authoring, scenario generation, and result analysis.
- Integrate performance and synthetic tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Improve observability tooling through dashboards, alerting, SLIs/SLOs, and instrumentation.
- Run load, stress, and soak tests and profile CPU, memory, garbage collection, I/O, and network behavior.
- Troubleshoot production performance issues and tune Kubernetes/AKS resource requests, limits, and autoscaling.
- Design and maintain C#/.NET and/or Java microservices for performance and scalability.
- Build self-service dashboards, guardrails, and documentation, and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- 6+ years of software engineering experience with meaningful exposure to performance, scalability, or reliability engineering.
- Strong C#/.NET and/or Java skills and strong Azure experience.
- Understanding of how CPU, memory, I/O, and network resources affect performance and scalability in containerized environments.
- Hands-on experience with load-testing tools such as k6, JMeter, Locust, or Gatling.
- Experience with browser-automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Experience with profiling tools including dotnet-trace, PerfView, or App Insights profiler.
- Experience with observability and APM tools including Splunk, Grafana, Honeycomb, AppDynamics, or New Relic.
- Some experience applying AI/LLM tools to development workflows, including AI-assisted coding, test generation, or analysis.
- Experience integrating tooling and tests into CI/CD using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
- Working knowledge of Linux fundamentals and networking basics including DNS, TLS, and routing.
- Experience with Agile and GitHub workflows, strong documentation and communication skills, and comfort working across time zones.
- Preferred qualifications include Gatling or Playwright experience, AKS cluster operations and scaling, Angular/TypeScript, database performance troubleshooting, OpenTelemetry, capacity planning, and cost/performance analysis.
