Responsibilities
- Use agentic security systems, custom static analysis, manual review, and threat modeling to identify real security risks.
- Validate whether findings are exploitable and extend automated tooling to reduce manual validation effort.
- Author, tune, and maintain static analysis rules that block recurring vulnerability classes at pull-request time.
- Contribute to the intake process for promoting high-value findings into merge-blocking rules.
- Provide security consulting on difficult architectural questions across product teams.
- Partner directly with product engineering teams to close vulnerabilities and eliminate systemic security patterns.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in security engineering, application security, or a directly adjacent role.
- At least 2 years of hands-on vulnerability-discovery experience.
- Deep familiarity with at least one major language ecosystem, including Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, Ruby, or similar, and ability to reason about code in other languages.
- Working knowledge of static analysis tooling and authoring custom rules, such as Semgrep or CodeQL.
- Practical experience with threat modeling, authentication and authorization design, cloud security architecture, or supply chain security.
- A related technical degree is required.
- Ability to scope work independently in ambiguous situations and communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
- Preferred qualifications include agentic security tooling, adopted custom static analysis rules, impactful vulnerability discoveries, product security consulting, large-scale authorization models such as RBAC or ABAC, open-source security contributions, technical publications, or conference talks.
