Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, high-performance applications.
- Implement trunk-based development, feature flags, and progressive delivery strategies.
- Write clean, maintainable, testable code and contribute to hands-on coding, code reviews, and refactoring.
- Apply TDD, BDD, unit testing, automation, and continuous monitoring to improve software quality and reliability.
- Implement secure coding practices, conduct vulnerability assessments, and support compliance with security standards.
- Collaborate with architects, product owners, DevOps teams, and cross-functional teams on scalable distributed systems, deployments, observability, and production resilience.
- Mentor junior engineers, lead technical discussions, and contribute to design documentation.
Requirements
- 8+ years of relevant experience is listed, with another section specifying 5-8 years of experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java; working knowledge of C++ is a plus.
- Deep expertise in system design and microservices architecture.
- Experience with trunk-based development, feature flags, progressive delivery, TDD, BDD, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
- Experience with code reviews, vulnerability assessments, secure coding, and automated testing.
- Familiarity with AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker.
- Experience with event-driven architecture and distributed systems is preferred.
- Knowledge of performance tuning, observability, and production monitoring is preferred.
- Proficiency in English is required; Japanese is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and cross-functional working skills are required.
