Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable backend services for FairMoney’s financial products.
- Build secure, well-structured, documented, and scalable APIs and integrate backend services with internal and external systems.
- Design relational database schemas, write efficient SQL queries, optimize performance, and maintain data integrity and reliability.
- Write and maintain unit and integration tests and participate in automated testing and continuous integration processes.
- Troubleshoot and debug technical and database performance issues.
- Participate in code reviews, technical planning, architecture decisions, and engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Data, and other teams to deliver technical solutions.
- Use AI-powered development tools and prompt engineering techniques to improve software engineering productivity and quality.
- Own assigned projects through development, deployment, and maintenance.
Requirements
- 3–4 years of professional backend software engineering experience.
- Strong experience building and maintaining backend applications and services.
- Strong experience with Golang and/or Ruby on Rails.
- Experience with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL and/or MySQL.
- Strong understanding and practical experience with API design and development.
- Experience with unit and integration testing and a strong testing discipline.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, scalable, and well-tested code.
- Understanding of software engineering principles, data structures, and algorithms.
- Experience with Git and modern software development workflows.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
- Experience with AI development tools and prompt engineering is a plus.
- Experience in fintech, banking, lending, payments, regulated financial domains, event-driven architectures, messaging systems, asynchronous processing, high-volume transactional systems, observability, performance monitoring, or distributed systems is valued.
