Base Salary
$192k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Solve scaling bottlenecks in critical services.
- Deploy production features using progressive rollouts and feature flags.
- Investigate and fix production issues in team-owned services.
- Design architectures and services to support higher traffic at scale.
- Plan upcoming projects with the team.
- Design AI backend systems while considering quality, cost, and latency tradeoffs.
- Build, validate, and refine AI-generated software output in products.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience.
- Significant experience with one or more programming languages.
- Ability to design architecture for high-scale problems.
- BS, MS, or PhD in a scientific field or equivalent experience.
- Ability to prioritize code simplicity and performance.
- Demonstrated ability to use AI coding tools in day-to-day workflows.
- Preferred experience with Go, C, or Python.
- Preferred experience with Redis, Cassandra, Kafka, data pipelines, and statistics.
- Interest in building AI-enabled products and improving software engineering practices with AI.
