Base Salary

$192k - $240k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Solve scaling bottlenecks in critical services.
  • Deploy production features using progressive rollouts and feature flags.
  • Investigate and fix production issues in team-owned services.
  • Design architectures and services to support higher traffic at scale.
  • Plan upcoming projects with the team.
  • Design AI backend systems while considering quality, cost, and latency tradeoffs.
  • Build, validate, and refine AI-generated software output in products.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of experience.
  • Significant experience with one or more programming languages.
  • Ability to design architecture for high-scale problems.
  • BS, MS, or PhD in a scientific field or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to prioritize code simplicity and performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to use AI coding tools in day-to-day workflows.
  • Preferred experience with Go, C, or Python.
  • Preferred experience with Redis, Cassandra, Kafka, data pipelines, and statistics.
  • Interest in building AI-enabled products and improving software engineering practices with AI.
