Senior Software Engineer

- Design, develop, deploy, maintain, and support interfaces between New World Public Safety products, third-party vendors, and Tyler Technologies integrations.
- Work with technical project managers to understand customer requirements before and during development.
- Deploy software and work directly with customers and third parties on testing and feedback during deployment.
- Collaborate with software developers, business analysts, and software architects to solve complex technical problems.
- Maintain existing interface implementations and contribute ideas to the interface development team and leadership.
- Continue developing technical and professional skills while following the team’s development practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of experience designing and programming commercial-grade software applications.
- At least 5 years of object-oriented design experience.
- At least 5 years of experience with C# or another object-oriented programming language.
- In-depth experience with the .NET framework ecosystem, multithreaded programming, and asynchronous programming models.
- Development experience with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript; Angular experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with REST, SOAP, SFTP, and other web communication technologies.
- Knowledge of SQL and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Experience with Visual Studio, JIRA, TFS, and Git.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work with technical and non-technical customer representatives.
- Ability to adapt to and learn new technologies proactively.
- Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools and responsible AI practices involving security, privacy, and validation of AI-generated output.
- Ability to evaluate and apply emerging AI technologies to software development and interface integration use cases is preferred.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies, Test Driven Development, Behavior Driven Development, and AWS services is helpful.
