Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Ship features across frontend, backend infrastructure, and real-time systems.
- Build data pipelines and tools that help analysts add sources and maintain industry coverage reliably.
- Improve agent-based parsing and extraction systems for complex research tasks.
- Own work end to end, including data inspection, quality assurance, instrumentation, production releases, and debugging.
- Develop a company ontology and an initial earnings research product.
Requirements
- At least two years of experience building, shipping, and operating production systems, with approximately seven years or less of professional experience.
- Hands-on experience deploying agentic AI systems or LLM-based applications in production and sound judgment about AI reasoning versus deterministic software.
- Full-stack capability with depth in backend engineering, data infrastructure, applied AI, or product engineering.
- Python backend experience with FastAPI or an equivalent framework, plus TypeScript and React.
- Experience with ETL, data modeling, SQL, relational database design and optimization, and production monitoring and debugging.
- Familiarity with AWS, real-time data systems, and streaming updates; modern data tools or edge infrastructure experience is a plus.
- Software engineering experience at an investment firm, including recent AI project work, is required; capital markets, financial research, or investment banking experience is a plus.
- Must be a U.S. citizen and able to work on-site in New York City five days per week, locally or after relocating.
