Base Salary
$125k - $175k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build scalable back-end services for Smartsheet's next generation of applications using Kotlin and Java.
- Solve distributed systems problems and work with modern cloud infrastructure including AWS and Kubernetes.
- Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions with software engineers and product managers.
- Mentor junior engineers on code quality and industry best practices.
- Partner closely with product management and other business areas.
- Use AI tools to improve efficiency across coding, testing, design, and troubleshooting, explore AI integration opportunities, and coach others on effective AI use.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of software development experience building highly scalable and highly available applications.
- At least 2 years of programming experience with full-stack technologies such as Java, Kotlin, or TypeScript.
- At least 2 years of experience with cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure.
- Experience developing, documenting, and supporting REST APIs.
- At least 6 months of professional experience using AI to improve productivity while building complex SaaS feature sets.
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Legal eligibility to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis.
