Head of Forward Deployed Engineering

Responsibilities
- Scale the Forward Deployed Engineering team to 10+ engineers through hiring, coaching, and organizational development.
- Own end-to-end technical delivery for the company’s most strategic healthcare customers.
- Lead technical discovery, production debugging, and hands-on implementation work for customer deployments.
- Establish repeatable deployment patterns, best practices, and internal tooling for implementation teams.
- Partner with product engineering and cross-functional stakeholders to convert field learnings into scalable platform features.
- Travel to customer sites and embed with healthcare organizations during critical implementations.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience.
- 2+ years leading customer-facing technical teams.
- Track record of scaling technical implementation or deployment teams at fast-growing B2B or enterprise software companies.
- Strong technical fundamentals and hands-on ability to design, build, and debug production systems.
- Experience building repeatable processes and tooling to scale implementation work.
- Ability to balance customer needs, technical feasibility, and engineering velocity, including deciding between custom solutions and platform improvements.
- Outstanding communication skills with healthcare executives, technical teams, and internal stakeholders.
