Base Salary
$200k - $285k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of complex AI deployments across workflows, business units, and enterprise systems from discovery through production release and ownership transfer.
- Partner with business leaders, frontline users, and AI Product to identify opportunities, define success measures, and redesign end-to-end workflows.
- Architect, build, test, troubleshoot, and stabilize production-grade AI applications, agents, retrieval systems, integrations, and workflow solutions.
- Define deployment architectures, technical roadmaps, dependencies, acceptance criteria, production-readiness standards, and handoff plans.
- Set technical direction and guide Senior FDEs, central AI engineers, partner teams, vendors, and consulting partners.
- Design evaluation sets, acceptance thresholds, regression testing, observability, security, privacy, auditability, and human controls.
- Resolve tradeoffs involving business value, engineering quality, security, speed, maintainability, and cost.
- Mentor Senior FDEs and create reusable components, evaluation assets, standards, reference architectures, and delivery playbooks.
- Provide executive reporting on value, delivery progress, risks, tradeoffs, and decisions.
Requirements
- Eight or more years of hands-on software engineering, AI engineering, technical delivery, or enterprise-solution experience, or equivalent practical experience.
- Demonstrated success leading multiple complex software or AI deployments through discovery, business acceptance, production release, and ownership transfer.
- Proven experience partnering with business leaders and frontline teams to transform business processes using AI while personally contributing to engineering delivery.
- Strong hands-on programming and architecture skills across Python, APIs, data platforms, cloud, and modern application technologies.
- Deep practical experience with LLM applications, agentic systems, retrieval, tool integration, evaluations, guardrails, and production observability.
- Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, data integration, identity, security, data protection, and software operating models.
- Ability to lead technical delivery without formal organizational authority and communicate effectively with senior executives.
- Demonstrated ability to create reusable engineering components, evaluation assets, standards, and playbooks.
- Preferred experience includes enterprise AI workflow transformations, parallel deployment portfolios, shared AI components, governed retrieval, knowledge architectures, developer tooling, cloud and hybrid deployments, security and compliance reviews, AWS, Dataiku, SQL, automated testing, containers, CI/CD, mentoring senior engineers, and measuring technical quality, reliability, efficiency, and cost outcomes.
- A formal engineering or computer-science degree is not required when equivalent practical experience and demonstrated technical leadership are present.
- Willingness to travel periodically to Prologis offices and operating locations.
