  • Develop solutions involving spatial reasoning, 3D geometry, collision detection, and geometric data structures.
  • Integrate packing logic with MujinOS real-time motion planning and digital-twin workflows.
  • Collaborate with robotics, perception, and systems teams to align algorithms with robot kinematics, motion planning, and operational constraints.
  • Profile, test, and optimize algorithms for real-time or near-real-time performance and scalability.
  • Translate variable logistics, trucking, warehouse, and customer constraints into maintainable production software.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and C++.
  • Deep understanding of algorithms, computational geometry, spatial data structures, packing and space-optimization problems, or operations research.
  • Familiarity with optimization frameworks or the ability to design custom heuristics, meta-heuristics, constraint solvers, or combinatorial optimization methods.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Exposure to mixed-SKU palletizing, container loading or unloading, or dynamic storage and packing systems.
  • Professional working proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Nice-to-have experience in logistics, warehouse automation, robotics, supply chains, robotic control pipelines, motion-planning frameworks, autonomous systems, or 3D visualization tools.

Benefits

  • Visa sponsorship, Japan relocation support, flight ticket support, shipping expense coverage up to a specified limit, and housing assistance.
  • Japanese social security including health insurance, pension, and labor insurance.
  • Commuting allowance, flexible dress code, monthly team dinner support, free buffet lunch, free vending machines, high-end coffee machine, and exclusive employee gym access.
