Base Salary
$132k - $182k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and own localization automation workflows using agentic workflows, Python, and APIs.
- Connect Translation Management Systems with content sources, repositories, and internal tools.
- Research, evaluate, and implement AI/LLM-based localization technologies and advanced TMS capabilities.
- Resolve high-impact architectural failures and diagnose integration issues, file parsing conflicts, and system-wide bottlenecks.
- Provide technical guidance on internationalization, including code audits and best-practice definition for product and engineering teams.
- Own, configure, maintain, and optimize Translation Management System environments such as XTM and Smartling.
- Develop self-service pseudo-localization and internationalization auditing tools to support shift-left issue detection.
Requirements
- 6–8 years of experience in software or globalization engineering, with experience architecting localization solutions at scale.
- Expert-level proficiency in Python and APIs for custom automation frameworks and system integrations.
- Experience with enterprise CMS or MSM platforms such as Adobe Experience Manager.
- Hands-on experience implementing AI in localization workflows, including custom machine translation pipelines, quality estimation, or LLM prompt engineering.
- Deep understanding of TMS architecture, content parsing, and localization file formats including JSON, XML, XLIFF, and properties files.
- Ability to conduct code-level internationalization reviews and provide actionable guidance to developers.
- Ability to independently diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple technical projects.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, automated testing frameworks, data analysis, and workflow performance reporting is preferred.
