Responsibilities
- Design highly scalable, mission-critical brokerage systems for the Japan market.
- Develop and enhance middle- and back-office systems, including gRPC microservices and REST APIs.
- Work closely with core teams to enhance the framework for multiple languages and markets.
- Coordinate with local regulators and translate requirements into technical specifications.
- Troubleshoot incidents and maintain system integrity and performance.
- Participate in on-call rotations and assist with engineering projects during Japan business hours.
- Thrive in a global environment, navigating regulatory requirements and building scalable solutions.
Requirements
- Native or JLPT N1 level fluency in Japanese.
- Business-level English fluency for effective collaboration.
- Proven experience in designing and developing complex financial systems.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and transaction reconciliation.
- Experience in building scalable financial applications handling multi-currency transactions.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance in financial markets, preferably in Japan.
- Proficiency in at least one statically typed language like Go, Java, or C++.
- Experience with financial APIs and trade settlement processes.
- Strong communication skills to bridge Japanese and English contexts.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, distributed team.
