Responsibilities
- Own global authentication infrastructure enabling SSO and MFA across on-premise servers, containers, SaaS components, and hybrid environments.
- Support SAML-based federation and OAuth-based single sign-on experiences for customers.
- Implement and maintain MFA methods while protecting systems from unauthorized access and cyber attacks.
- Troubleshoot authentication and authorization incidents, implement changes, and apply ITIL principles in production environments.
- Use encryption, digital signatures, and secure token exchange to build secure authentication flows.
- Develop and maintain reliable, scalable authentication and authorization features.
- Partner with developers, security engineers, product managers, and support organizations on integrations, incidents, and security improvements.
- Act as a trusted advisor to diverse stakeholders, facilitate workshops, resolve conflicts, and shape engagement strategies.
- Translate requirements into strategic implementation plans and contribute to Communities of Practice.
- Mentor less-experienced colleagues and promote cybersecurity best practices and process improvements.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience working in a major global organization, preferably in a regulated industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline, or recognition of prior working experience.
- Experience with IAM solutions such as Okta, Entra ID (Azure AD), Ping Identity, Auth0, or similar.
- Experience with SAML, OAuth 2.0, and OpenID Connect protocols.
- Experience implementing and integrating MFA methods such as TOTP, FIDO2/WebAuthn, biometric authentication, and YubiKey.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex authentication and authorization issues with application developers and technical teams.
- Knowledge of security threats, authentication technologies, requirements analysis, data, usability, process analysis, and cybersecurity controls.
- Advanced analytical and logical reasoning skills for identifying security patterns, threats, discrepancies, and root causes.
- Experience managing cross-functional stakeholder relationships and serving as a trusted advisor.
- Experience leading security incidents or owning security projects.
- Strong communication, facilitation, collaboration, conflict resolution, and mentoring skills.
