Responsibilities
- Research consumer identity, authentication, account protection, digital trust, AI agent security, competing products, industry practices, and attacker techniques.
- Establish technical direction, guide architecture and engineering priorities, and lead complex multi-quarter initiatives without formal management authority.
- Design, develop, and operate scalable intelligence platforms, APIs, services, and trust signals for identity compromise detection, device confidence, account takeover prevention, and secure customer experiences.
- Translate emerging threats and research into defined customer risks, evaluated options, product capabilities, prototypes, and production implementations.
- Drive adoption across authentication, account recovery, and other high-risk customer journeys while measuring security effectiveness and customer outcomes.
- Provide hands-on system design, coding, technical reviews, mentoring, and technical guidance across partner teams.
Requirements
- Meaningful experience with consumer identity, authentication, account security, identity risk, trust, fraud, or a closely related domain.
- Demonstrated ability to research industry developments, assess competing products and technical approaches, and produce evidence-backed product or engineering recommendations.
- Experience setting technical direction and leading complex initiatives from ambiguous problems through design, implementation, production deployment, and adoption.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals, including experience designing, building, and operating reliable production systems and proficiency in at least one modern programming language.
- Practical experience with scalable systems involving APIs, distributed services, cloud platforms, data engineering, or event-driven architectures.
- Ability to evaluate build-versus-integrate options, validate solutions through experimentation, and deliver measurable customer impact.
- Strong communication, collaboration, stakeholder influence, constructive disagreement management, mentoring, and technical leadership skills.
- Experience with cybercrime intelligence, device intelligence, fraud and abuse prevention, or AI and agent security is valuable.
