Responsibilities
- Build and manage infrastructure, monitoring, telemetry, and compute environments for security platforms.
- Develop the infrastructure-as-code and automation strategy for Microsoft Sentinel, including ingestion pipelines, workspace governance, detection frameworks, and cost optimization.
- Create hardened Terraform and Bicep/ARM modules deployed through automated CI/CD pipelines with policy-as-code gates.
- Support orchestration workflows connecting ITSM, messaging channels, and SIEM/SOAR platforms for evidence collection and incident remediation.
- Automate on-demand security sandboxes for offensive security exercises and adversary simulation testing.
- Build infrastructure and monitoring for safety validation of AI-driven tools before production deployment.
- Contribute to an internal developer portal with vulnerability metrics, automated fix workflows, and security guardrails.
- Automate compliance evidence gathering against regulatory benchmarks and industry security frameworks.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in SRE, cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, or security engineering, including 1+ year leading a production platform as a senior or lead engineer.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience with Microsoft Sentinel and Azure Monitor/Log Analytics, including workspace topology, connectors, KQL, automation rules, and playbooks.
- Experience with Terraform, including custom modules, state architecture, and multi-environment design.
- Experience building and managing automated release pipelines with Azure DevOps Pipelines, GitHub Actions, or similar platforms.
- Experience with Python development.
- Experience defining SLOs and SLIs, managing error budgets, developing observability strategies, designing incident response rotations, and conducting blameless postmortems.
- Experience aligning stakeholders across Security, DevOps, and Product engineering.
- Preferred experience with ARM or Bicep, C#/.NET, Kubernetes, container runtimes, AWS, GCP, OPA/Rego, Azure Policy, Checkov, and automated compliance controls for SOC 2, ISO 27001, or FedRAMP.
- Preferred certifications include Microsoft SC-200, AZ-500, AZ-400, or HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate.
