Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, and maintain cryptographic functionality in AWS-LC and related libraries.
- Own features through design, code review, testing, release, and operational support.
- Build generative-AI tooling for automated CVE backports, vulnerability triage, and code review.
- Improve code quality, test coverage, and engineering practices for a security-critical codebase.
- Collaborate with Applied Scientists, security engineers, AWS service teams, and open-source consumers.
- Ensure changes meet FIPS validation and formal verification requirements.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of system performance, memory management, and parallel computing principles.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle practices including coding standards, software architecture, code reviews, source control, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development lifecycle experience covering coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Rust, Python, Java, C, C++, or C#, including object-oriented design.
