Responsibilities
- Build and grow the client security team in China and establish its technical direction and operational practices.
- Design, implement, and maintain client-side detections for cheating tools, modified clients, hooking frameworks, and emulators on Android and iOS.
- Integrate client security capabilities with internal anti-cheat platforms and server-side enforcement or analytics systems.
- Define and evolve mobile obfuscation and hardening strategies, including binary protection, anti-debugging, anti-tamper, integrity checks, and third-party vendor integrations.
- Develop coverage for China-specific Android app stores, OEM devices, OS and ROM variants, rooted or jailbroken environments, and PC or mobile emulator cheating.
- Contribute hands-on C++, Java/Kotlin, and/or Objective-C/Swift code in security-sensitive client and protocol paths.
- Use telemetry and anti-abuse pipelines to tune detections and reduce false positives.
- Technically direct a small engineering team and collaborate across teams.
Requirements
- Professional proficiency in Mandarin and English, written and spoken.
- Experience in mobile security, game anti-cheat, or client-side security engineering with direct Android or iOS native-code work.
- Direct reverse-engineering experience and deep knowledge of Android and iOS internals, hooking and instrumentation frameworks, and mobile client security attack vectors.
- Strong proficiency in C/C++ and at least one mobile native language: Java/Kotlin or Objective-C/Swift.
- Experience shipping production code in large applications and designing client-side anti-cheat or integrity systems integrated with server-side enforcement or analytics pipelines.
- Experience with large-scale telemetry or anti-abuse pipelines and data-driven detection tuning.
- Prior experience leading or technically directing a small engineering team.
- Bonus: BS or MS in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or equivalent.
- Bonus: experience securing China-market mobile games or large-scale consumer apps, including Android app-store ecosystems, OEM variations, emulator patterns, and China-specific tooling.
- Bonus: CTF participation, CVE contributions, client obfuscation or hardening pipelines, vendor evaluation, and performance or stability tradeoff management.
- Bonus: familiarity with large-scale cloud environments, streaming data processing, and monitoring or alerting.
