Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver Apple Pay platform features across service and client code.
- Build and operate scalable web services supporting payment and customer-data systems.
- Debug issues across the network layer and application logic.
- Work on cryptographic systems involving key management, HSMs, and tokenization.
- Deliver production-quality software against written specifications and agreed milestones.
- Apply automated testing and CI/CD practices.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Proficiency in Java or Kotlin.
- Experience building and operating scalable RESTful web services.
- Strong debugging skills across network and application layers.
- Demonstrated experience with automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision against written specifications.
- BS or MS degree with software development experience, or equivalent experience.
- Basic hands-on cryptography experience, or strong fundamentals and willingness to learn quickly.
- Preferred: experience in payments, financial services, or transaction processing systems.
- Preferred: familiarity with secure elements, tokenization, or cryptographic protocols.
- Preferred: AWS experience.
- Preferred: understanding of symmetric and asymmetric encryption, signing, and key management.
- Preferred: hands-on experience with Hardware Security Modules (HSMs).
