Base Salary
$220k - $297k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and drive Databricks' application and partner ecosystem strategy.
- Develop frameworks, APIs, and tools that enable partners and developers to build, integrate, and scale applications.
- Enable customers to integrate applications and specialized functionality into the Databricks ecosystem.
- Lead and mentor engineers across teams through technical guidance, architectural direction, and career development support.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and business development teams to align technical roadmaps with strategic goals.
- Engage with open-source communities and advocate for application development, data processing, and ecosystem best practices.
- Represent Databricks at industry events and conferences while engaging with partners, customers, and developers.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience building data-intensive applications or systems.
- Strong expertise in database systems, including SQL, NoSQL, OLAP, and OLTP, and big data processing with Apache Spark and Flink.
- Experience designing high-performance APIs using REST, GraphQL, and gRPC, and managing integrations.
- Understanding of data security, governance, compliance frameworks, and cloud infrastructure including AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
- Experience driving cross-functional and cross-organizational initiatives, including with external partners.
- Ability to mentor engineers, influence architecture, advocate for best practices, and communicate the ecosystem vision internally and externally.
- Knowledge of the broad data and AI industry; open-source contributions and developer-community engagement are a plus.
