
Federal Software Engineer, Attack
Horizon3 AIResponsibilities
- Develop new offensive attack content and features for the NodeZero platform.
- Improve platform scalability and maintain or extend its architecture, design, and data model.
- Work with attack engineers and N-Day researchers to understand reverse-engineered exploits and their production behavior.
- Collaborate with Attack, Data, Commercial, and Federal engineering teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Identify, own, and resolve product bugs.
- Maintain software quality through code review, testing, and production monitoring.
- Follow and improve the Federal Attack Team’s technical and development processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, commerce, computer science, engineering, or a related field, or significant relevant industry experience.
- Proficiency in Python software development, Docker, relational and graph databases, software design principles, Git, and secure software development practices.
- Experience developing and testing complex software systems, especially for Federal networks at all classification levels.
- Ability to evaluate algorithms, data structures, web development, and API design, and to design and assess technical solutions.
- Ability to collaborate with and mentor teammates while managing concurrent initiatives with limited supervision.
- Must have or be willing to obtain certifications required to operate on Federal networks, such as Security+.
- Preferred experience includes AWS development, extensive software architecture and design, fast-paced software development, and cybersecurity certifications such as OSCP, CISSP, or GPEN.
- Current or obtainable U.S. Government Security Clearance is preferred.
