Responsibilities
- Analyze requirements and produce technical designs and documentation.
- Plan technical work, including task estimation, prioritization, and delivery.
- Develop readable, maintainable, and performant code and support project code reviews.
- Design, implement, and operate AWS cloud solutions and cloud-native architectures.
- Build infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, automation, monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions.
- Troubleshoot cloud and production environments and support high availability, fault tolerance, backup, and disaster recovery.
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, security, operations, customers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders.
- Mentor team members and contribute to technical standards and best practices.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience designing, implementing, and operating AWS solutions.
- At least 3 years of professional software development experience using Python, Java, Go, JavaScript/TypeScript, or another modern programming language.
- Strong Python or scripting skills for automation, cloud operations, API integration, and tooling.
- Strong understanding of cloud-native architecture, microservices, distributed systems, scalability, reliability, cloud security, and Linux/Unix.
- Hands-on experience with EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, Lambda, RDS or DynamoDB, Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes, preferably Amazon EKS.
- Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines and using Git, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, or similar platforms.
- Understanding of least-privilege access, secrets management, network security, secure deployment, monitoring, logging, alerting, observability, high availability, fault tolerance, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery.
- Preferred qualifications include AWS certifications, AWS Organizations, Control Tower, multi-account architecture, AWS Landing Zones, Helm, Argo CD, FluxCD, Terraform modules, serverless and event-driven architectures, MongoDB, Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, cloud migration, DevSecOps, platform engineering, and Azure.
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, analytical, communication, ownership, planning, collaboration, mentoring, and continuous-learning skills.
