Responsibilities
- Analyze requirements and produce technical designs and documentation.
- Plan technical work, including task estimation, prioritization, and delivery.
- Design, implement, and operate scalable solutions on AWS.
- Develop maintainable, readable, and performant software using modern programming languages.
- Build automation, cloud operations tooling, and API integrations using Python or scripting.
- Implement infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code and support Docker and Kubernetes environments.
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Troubleshoot cloud and production environments and support monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability.
- Apply secure deployment practices, cloud security controls, high availability, fault tolerance, backup, and disaster recovery concepts.
- Participate in code reviews, mentor team members, and collaborate with development, infrastructure, security, operations, and global stakeholders.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of hands-on experience designing, implementing, and operating AWS solutions.
- At least 4 years of professional software development experience using Python, Java, Go, JavaScript/TypeScript, or another modern programming language.
- Strong Python or scripting skills for automation, cloud operations, API integration, and tooling.
- Strong understanding of cloud-native architecture, microservices, distributed systems, scalability, and reliability.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, Lambda, and RDS or DynamoDB.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and preferably Amazon EKS.
- Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of cloud security, including least-privilege access, secrets management, network security, and secure deployment practices.
- Strong Linux/Unix fundamentals and experience troubleshooting cloud and production environments.
- Understanding of monitoring, logging, alerting, observability, high availability, fault tolerance, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery.
- Preferred qualifications include AWS certifications, AWS Organizations, Control Tower, multi-account architecture, AWS Landing Zones, Helm, Argo CD, FluxCD, Terraform modules and state management, serverless and event-driven architectures, MongoDB, Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, cloud migration, DevSecOps, platform engineering, and Azure experience.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, ownership, planning, collaboration, mentoring, and continuous-learning abilities.
