Responsibilities
- Apply data science methods, statistics, operations research, and machine learning to real-world business situations.
- Design, build, and deploy innovative and scalable AI and analytics solutions.
- Partner with clients across regions and industries on challenges including climate change.
- Distill complex analytical results and processes into clear visualizations and business implications.
- Explain sophisticated data science concepts in an understandable manner.
- Contribute thought leadership through scientific papers and conferences on behalf of BCG X.
- Work collaboratively with modern development tools and code.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a university master’s or PhD degree program in computer research science, data science, statistics, operations research, or a related field.
- Significant experience applying advanced analytics to business situations and synthesizing complex data.
- Deep understanding of modern machine learning techniques and their mathematical foundations.
- Comfort with client-facing work and ambition to lead teams.
- Strong project management, communication, and collaborative development skills.
- Python programming experience is required; software development or DevOps experience is a bonus.
