Responsibilities
- Lead the re-architecture of the core Expense system.
- Define scalable API contracts and lead architectural decisions across multiple teams.
- Set long-term technical goals and roadmaps with engineering peers, Product Managers, and other stakeholders.
- Deliver features including mileage, reimbursements, agentic workflows, and custom spend rules.
- Guide software development and iteratively deliver robust user-focused solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
- Identify and solve product development problems while maintaining high quality and compliance standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- High level of experience in backend development using Java.
- Proven record of building robust, long-term software solutions with very high availability and accuracy demands.
- Experience with MongoDB, MySQL, Redis, AWS, Docker, and CircleCI is a strong plus.
- Ability to lead architectural work spanning multiple teams and complex domains.
- Team-first, collaborative, proactive, and continuous-learning mindset.
- Fluency in Swedish and English.
