Base Salary
$178k - $313k/yr
Responsibilities
- Create and refine high-performance iOS applications and stable mobile products.
- Design, architect, and implement well-tested Objective-C software for Snapchat’s camera experiences.
- Conceptualize, develop, and launch new features while evaluating technical tradeoffs.
- Collaborate with Design on UI and infrastructure practices.
- Conduct code reviews and maintain code correctness, security, and production-ready quality.
- Use AI tools and high-velocity engineering workflows to design and ship scalable services while auditing generated output for architectural, performance, and security risks.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent years of practical work experience.
- 6+ years of post-Bachelor’s software development experience, or a relevant technical master’s degree with 5+ years of post-graduate experience, or a relevant technical PhD with 2+ years of post-graduate experience.
- Experience with iOS application development.
- Understanding of the Objective-C runtime and underlying processes.
- Knowledge of operating-system internals, compilers, and optimization for low-power mobile systems.
- Proficiency with multithreading and iOS performance optimization.
- Strong computer science fundamentals, including algorithms and data structures, plus problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of software design patterns and iOS best practices.
- Proficiency in or strong aptitude for using AI tools with judgment regarding architectural integrity, performance, and security.
- Preferred: experience with Objective-C, iOS, Swift, C/C++, OpenGL, or Metal.
