Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of complex, ambiguous, and cross-team software initiatives.
- Architect and build robust backend services and solve difficult technical problems.
- Own project execution from design through rollout, including agentic workflows and automated guardrails.
- Provide technical guidance through code reviews, architectural decisions, and engineering best practices.
- Mentor junior engineers and help colleagues use agentic development tools effectively.
- Improve reliability, scalability, observability, incident response, engineering tooling, documentation, and code quality across teams.
- Influence technical strategy and long-term architecture, including adoption of agentic SDLC practices.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to engineers, product managers, and organizational leadership.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience delivering complex software systems and solving technical challenges.
- Strong backend experience architecting and building services with Python, Flask, and/or FastAPI.
- Experience writing comprehensive backend tests, including Pytest, and maintaining strong test coverage.
- Experience building consumer-facing applications and internal tools.
- Ability to decompose complex projects into milestones that other engineers can execute.
- Demonstrated cross-functional collaboration and motivation to improve engineering quality, reliability, and performance.
- Familiarity or some frontend experience with React, Next.js, and TypeScript is preferred.
