Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of complex software initiatives spanning multiple systems or teams.
- Architect and build robust backend services and solve difficult technical problems.
- Own project execution from design through rollout, including agentic workflows and automated guardrails.
- Provide technical guidance through code reviews, architectural decisions, and engineering best practices.
- Mentor junior engineers and support their technical and problem-solving development.
- Influence technical strategy, architectural evolution, and adoption of agentic SDLC practices.
- Improve reliability, scalability, observability, incident response, tooling, documentation, and code quality.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to engineers, product managers, and leadership while managing ambiguity.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience delivering complex software systems and solving technical challenges.
- Strong backend experience architecting and building services with Python, Flask, and/or FastAPI.
- Experience writing comprehensive backend tests, including with Pytest, and maintaining strong test coverage.
- Familiarity with React, Next.js, and TypeScript is preferred.
- Ability to break complex projects into components or milestones that other engineers can execute.
- Demonstrated cross-functional collaboration and motivation to improve service quality, reliability, and performance.
- Experience building consumer-facing applications and internal tools.
