Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders across trading, quantitative, development, accounts, and operations teams to understand workflows and pain points.
- Analyze existing processes, identify automation opportunities, and prioritize improvements that reduce manual effort and increase accuracy and efficiency.
- Design, develop, and implement automation solutions using suitable programming languages, APIs, workflow tools, and AI technologies.
- Own solutions from initial idea through testing, rollout, documentation, and ongoing reliability improvements.
- Measure automation impact, gather feedback, and continuously refine solutions as business needs evolve.
Requirements
- Experience in process automation, software engineering, data engineering, or a similar technical role.
- Proficiency in Python or another relevant programming language and experience building automation solutions.
- Understanding of APIs, system integrations, SQL, and data processing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify inefficiencies and translate them into practical solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging non-technical stakeholders and challenging existing processes.
- Ability to work proactively and independently and take ownership from discovery through implementation.
- Focus on accuracy, reliability, and continuous improvement.
- Preferred: experience with workflow automation platforms, cloud services, AI-powered tools, software testing, version control, production monitoring, or data-driven environments such as quantitative trading, financial services, or technology.
