Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, secure, resilient software solutions.
- Write production-ready code using languages such as C#, Python, Java, or Go.
- Integrate engineering solutions with the Yalla stack and collaborate across bp engineering teams.
- Develop, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines, build automation, configuration, and release processes.
- Design and optimize relational databases, data models, and application-supporting data structures.
- Support live services through monitoring, reliability improvements, and incident response.
- Participate in system design, delivery planning, progress tracking, and digital initiative execution.
- Apply secure coding practices, follow information security standards, and share knowledge with teammates.
Requirements
- Experience working as a Software Engineer on production systems with growing technical ownership.
- Proficiency in at least one high-level programming language such as Java, C#, Python, Go, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, build automation, or release processes.
- Practical experience with relational databases and data modeling.
- Familiarity with container-based development and deploying containerized applications.
- Understanding of secure software development, logging, monitoring, reliability, and production-ready systems.
- Ability to participate in system design discussions and understand architectural trade-offs with guidance from senior engineers.
- Experience using Git-based source control and common branching strategies.
- Ability to collaborate and communicate clearly with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders.
