Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate reliable and secure cloud infrastructure.
- Ensure applications are production-ready, scalable, and reliable.
- Develop tools, automation frameworks, and robust deployment automation.
- Orchestrate end-to-end monitoring and alerting.
- Participate in SRE and development on-call rotations.
- Lead root cause analyses for critical business and production issues.
- Mentor team members and champion SRE culture.
- Participate in design reviews and collaborate with developers, researchers, data scientists, and security experts.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of professional experience.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent professional or military experience.
- Expertise with configuration management and infrastructure tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Helm, and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in Python and/or Go, including shell scripting for automation.
- Experience managing autoscaling applications in Kubernetes clusters.
- Experience in production engineering, DevOps, or site reliability engineering.
- Expertise with public cloud platforms, especially GCP, or AWS.
- Strong Linux administration, Linux internals, and network troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines; GitLab and GitHub experience is preferred.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex distributed systems handling high-volume transactions.
- Strong written and verbal communication, collaboration, ownership, and self-management skills.
- Ability to quickly understand and dissect new technology stacks.
