Responsibilities
- Ensure squad implementations are consistent with the overall engineering strategy across local and remote team members.
- Collaborate with the Engineering Manager to communicate tasks, challenges, and workflows across a globally distributed team.
- Contribute to the design and architecture of tools and technologies while maintaining the existing stack.
- Guide team development efforts toward successful sprint delivery.
- Establish practices that maintain high software quality standards.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and coaching to team members.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and other cross-functional teams on requirements and roadmap development.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of industry experience as an individual contributor in full-stack web development.
- Advanced JavaScript and Node.js or Ruby on Rails skills, with at least 3 years of experience with React or TypeScript.
- At least 2 years of experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
- At least 5 years of experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs.
- Experience with mobile development and React Native is a plus.
- Experience developing and maintaining microservice-based systems is a bonus.
- At least 2 years of experience with Agile software engineering methods and tools including Scrum, Jira, GitHub, and DevOps.
- Familiarity with AWS, cloud technologies, architectural patterns, and their trade-offs.
- Understanding of requirements management and roadmap development with product managers.
- Experience collaborating with globally distributed engineering teams across multiple time zones.
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or equivalent training, education, and experience in information or cybersecurity, computer systems, IT, or related areas.
