Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve a custom Shopify Hydrogen storefront using React and React Router.
- Build responsive and accessible interfaces with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Work with Shopify Storefront and Admin APIs, GraphQL, products, collections, variants, and metafields.
- Translate business requirements and rough mockups into intuitive e-commerce experiences.
- Troubleshoot storefront, Shopify data and API, browser, and third-party integration issues.
- Work with Storyblok CMS and Algolia search and recommendation functionality.
- Implement and troubleshoot e-commerce analytics, marketing integrations, SEO requirements, and site migration needs.
- Improve frontend performance, usability, and maintainability within an existing custom codebase.
- Communicate technical constraints, tradeoffs, and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, and React Router.
- Professional experience with Shopify Hydrogen and headless commerce.
- Experience with Shopify APIs and GraphQL.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and technical feasibility evaluation skills.
- Good UI/UX judgment and experience translating designs or wireframes into functional interfaces.
- Experience with APIs and third-party integrations.
- Excellent English communication skills and the ability to work independently and take ownership.
- Full-time availability for 40 hours per week.
- Preferred experience includes Shopify theme architecture, Storyblok or another headless CMS, Algolia, GA4, Klaviyo, e-commerce SEO, site migrations, performance optimization, Git, testing, and deployment workflows.
