Base Salary
$153k - $211k/yr
Responsibilities
- Prototype GenAI solutions, curate datasets, and build ML pipelines for generative media, multimodal understanding, and reinforcement learning.
- Develop, test, debug, and optimize robust product code, including integration, performance, and security testing.
- Participate in design and code reviews to improve best practices, testability, efficiency, and accuracy.
- Triage complex system issues, analyze root causes, and implement solutions across hardware, network, and service operations.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and educational materials based on product updates and user feedback.
- Contribute to system qualification, monitoring, process automation, deployment lifecycle management, and technical debt reduction.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in the job offered or a Software Engineer-related occupation.
- At least 2 years of software development experience using Java, C, C++, Python, Go, Kotlin, or TypeScript.
- At least 2 years of experience designing and applying data structures or algorithms.
- At least 2 years of experience with systems thinking or analyzing technical problems from a broad systems-level perspective.
- At least 2 years of experience collaborating with cross-functional partners to deliver user-facing features for high-usage applications.
- At least 2 years of experience participating in the full lifecycle of web frontend projects from proof of concept through implementation.
Benefits
- US base salary range of $152,800-$211,000, plus a 15% bonus target, equity, and benefits determined by role, level, and location.
- Position reports to a Google office and may allow a hybrid schedule according to Google policy.
