Responsibilities
- Lead solutions from design through production deployment.
- Gather and refine business and technical requirements with product managers, cross-functional teams, and clients.
- Architect enterprise API integrations and maintain consistent APIs across partner and internal services.
- Build backend applications in Python using Flask and AWS Lambda, ECS, API Gateway, and other cloud technologies.
- Design scalable systems for high-volume transactions in a serverless, cloud-native environment.
- Apply security best practices across development and deployment.
- Conduct code reviews and make architectural decisions that support quality, scalability, and reliability.
- Provide technical leadership and represent software products to stakeholders.
- Manage tasks and collaborate with internal and external teams to complete technical projects.
Requirements
- 7+ years of related technical job experience.
- Strong experience with Python, Flask, SQLAlchemy, TypeScript, and React.
- Advanced PostgreSQL knowledge, including common table expressions, windowing functions, views, stored procedures, and indexing techniques.
- Experience with microservices, API-based applications, distributed caching, cloud delivery, infrastructure as code, and security-focused development.
- Experience improving system scalability and observability.
- Proficiency with Linux, Bash, Zsh, Python, and Node.js.
- Experience with Git code management, preferably in a monorepository.
- Knowledge of unit testing and integration testing with frameworks such as Playwright.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills for working with technical and non-technical client teams.
- Previous Pharmacy Benefits Manager experience and technical lead or technical product management experience are preferred.
