Responsibilities
- Design, code, debug, maintain, and upgrade software.
- Improve the performance, stability, and efficiency of existing products and services.
- Own large system components and help set product direction and long-term technical strategy.
- Lead and influence multiple teams and initiatives, including providing technical leadership for projects involving 3–4 individuals.
- Mentor engineers, provide technical training, and improve the company’s technical capabilities.
- Investigate software-related complaints and make adjustments to optimize performance.
- Collaborate with testing teams to develop performance test plans and test cases.
- Research product information and support the development of specifications and requirements.
- Recommend technologies that can increase engineering productivity.
- Supervise and oversee the technical aspects of projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 10+ years of hands-on experience with Java-based development projects.
- Experience with Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, microservices, and complex web systems.
- High technical competence and strong analytical, documentation, problem-solving, communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Proven experience with high-level programming languages such as Java and software development methodologies.
- Preferred: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical or business field.
- Preferred: Expertise running web services at scale.
