Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, integration, and testing of C/C++ software for testbeds, test equipment, and optical tracking systems in Linux.
- Translate Government research objectives into software requirements, architectures, and control solutions for electro-mechanical-optical experiments.
- Develop real-time and embedded software, including single-board computer applications and hardware I/O interfaces for mechanical, electro-optical, and sensor equipment.
- Develop and maintain data acquisition, data reduction, analysis, and operator-interface tools, including MATLAB/Simulink models where applicable.
- Improve software testing, validation, DevOps/SecDevOps pipelines, and engineering workflows.
- Support testbed and test-equipment design, buildup, calibration, field testing, and troubleshooting of integrated hardware, software, and network issues.
- Serve as technical lead for small projects, mentor junior engineers, and peer-review code and designs.
- Communicate technical progress, risks, and solutions to Government customers and project stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering with 4+ years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree in either field with 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Hands-on software engineering and development experience.
- Professional experience writing C/C++ software in a Linux system development environment.
- Experience with MATLAB/Simulink.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Preferred qualifications include controls engineering, software architecture, software testing and validation, DevOps/SecDevOps, embedded and real-time systems, single-board computer development, hardware I/O, testbed design, data acquisition, field testing, UI/UX development, network configuration and support, and military radar or tracking knowledge.
