Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services using Python, Django, and FastAPI.
- Architect and implement new features and services for organization management, authentication, authorization, billing, and subscription management.
- Collaborate with product owners, designers, QA engineers, customer support, product managers, and other engineers.
- Investigate and resolve customer-reported incidents, bugs, requests, backend issues, and performance bottlenecks.
- Use AI agents, AI workflows, and development assistants to streamline software development and root-cause analysis.
- Write clean, maintainable, documented code and lead code reviews.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to team discussions, planning, retrospectives, and development-process improvements.
- Optimize applications for speed, scalability, security, and data protection.
- Contribute to continuous integration and deployment strategies.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional backend development experience with strong Python expertise.
- Deep understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, SOLID, and GRASP principles.
- Experience with API-first development and microservices architecture.
- Proficiency with relational and non-relational databases, including PostgreSQL and Elasticsearch.
- Experience with AI assistants such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Antigravity in the development workflow.
- Experience with asynchronous programming and Celery.
- Proficiency with Git and familiarity with AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud services.
- Understanding of Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and Kubernetes.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and written and verbal English communication skills.
- Experience with SaaS billing systems is a plus.
- Experience with Angular version 18 or later and modern frontend development is nice to have.
- Ability to contribute across backend and frontend development is nice to have.
