Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services using Python, Django, and FastAPI.
- Architect and implement software features and services for organization management, authentication, authorization, billing, and subscription management.
- Collaborate with product owners, designers, QA engineers, customer support, product managers, and other engineers.
- Investigate and resolve customer-reported incidents, bugs, requests, performance bottlenecks, and backend issues.
- Lead code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior developers.
- Optimize applications for speed, scalability, security, and data protection.
- Use AI agents, AI workflows, and development assistants to streamline engineering tasks and root cause analysis.
- Contribute to development process improvements, including continuous integration and deployment strategies.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional backend development experience with strong Python expertise.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, SOLID, and GRASP principles.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, API-first development, and microservices architecture.
- Proficiency with relational and non-relational databases, including PostgreSQL and Elasticsearch.
- Experience with asynchronous programming and frameworks such as Celery.
- Experience using AI assistants such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Antigravity in development workflows.
- Proficiency with Git and familiarity with AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud services.
- Understanding of Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and Kubernetes.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams, with strong problem-solving and English communication skills.
- Experience with SaaS billing systems is a plus.
- Experience with Angular version 18 or newer and modern frontend development is nice to have.
- Ability to contribute across the full stack is nice to have.
