
Software Engineering & Development, Off
State StreetResponsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy software solutions supporting IMSWest remediation initiatives.
- Modernize applications, reduce technical debt, automate manual processes, and improve platform stability and operational resilience.
- Implement solutions for audit findings, control gaps, operational risks, data quality issues, and stability concerns.
- Perform root-cause analysis, corrective action implementation, control validation, and resilience improvement work.
- Conduct code reviews and develop automated unit, integration, and regression tests.
- Support CI/CD adoption, automation initiatives, governance, change management, and software quality standards.
- Investigate and resolve production issues, improve monitoring and diagnostics, and eliminate recurring incidents.
- Participate in on-call support and critical incident response activities as needed.
- Collaborate with global development teams, business analysts, product owners, architects, Production Support, SRE, and Observability teams.
- Provide status updates, communicate risks, and contribute to knowledge sharing and technical documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of software development experience.
- Strong programming skills in Java and object-oriented design.
- Experience with REST APIs, databases, and distributed systems.
- Familiarity with GitHub, Jenkins, Maven, SonarQube, and modern development tools.
- Understanding of Agile development methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Preferred experience in financial services or mission-critical enterprise applications.
- Preferred knowledge of AWS or Azure cloud platforms.
- Preferred familiarity with Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana, or other monitoring platforms.
- Preferred experience with DevOps, CI/CD, automation frameworks, operational controls, application support, and production environments.
