Base Salary
$204k - $280k/yr
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain the Render Postgres fleet.
- Take complete, end-to-end ownership of full-stack projects.
- Collaborate with design, product, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Evolve and mature the Postgres product as it scales in usage and complexity.
- Develop new capabilities for the Postgres product.
- Participate in team planning, roadmapping, and goal-setting.
- Help shape team culture and engineering practices as the company grows.
- Participate in on-call responsibilities.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of professional experience shipping software.
- Experience building a Postgres platform and operating Postgres at scale.
- Experience collaborating with product and design stakeholders.
- Comfort working with distributed systems.
- Familiarity with modern software build and deployment tooling.
- Strong ownership, pragmatic decision-making, and willingness to work across the stack.
- Strong understanding of web frameworks, APIs, and databases, with experience using multiple programming languages.
- Experience at a small, high-growth startup is a bonus.
- Experience with product-driven growth and modern enterprise audiences is a nice-to-have.
- Experience with Go, TypeScript, React, Kubernetes, Postgres, Terraform, or Temporal is a nice-to-have.
