Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Make technical decisions affecting multiple teams and organizational boundaries.
- Lead multiple multi-team initiatives and establish conventions and processes for other employees.
- Research models and frameworks, prototype rapidly, and test hypotheses through production experiments.
- Build and enhance agentic systems, real-time voice experiences, multimodal products, and agent-platform orchestration, tool use, and evaluation.
- Ship validated ideas to real users and scale them into reliable, secure, cost-efficient products.
- Track AI-system quality, latency, cost, and impact using safe-rollout practices.
- Partner with product management, design, and engineering to turn validated concepts into platform capabilities.
- Communicate technical issues clearly to engineers, executives, and non-technical audiences while mentoring and spreading technical knowledge.
Requirements
- 8+ years of relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Senior- or staff-level engineering experience with impact beyond individual code contributions.
- A track record of shipping products to real users and scaling early ideas into reliable, secure, cost-efficient systems.
- Hands-on experience building with LLMs or agentic systems at work, in a startup, or through serious independent projects.
- Strong prototyping, research, experimentation, ownership, communication, and ambiguity-management skills.
- Strong engineering fundamentals in at least one modern programming language.
- Preferred: real-time voice or multimodal experience.
- Preferred: automated evaluation and observability for AI systems.
- Preferred: deep knowledge of model fine-tuning, trade-offs, and when to use fine-tuning.
