Base Salary
$174k - $299k/yr
Responsibilities
- Serve as a hands-on engineering leader with deep expertise in open-source technologies and distributed systems
- Design layered applications and drive high-quality architecture and design for pricing and commerce systems
- Partner with product owners and business stakeholders to develop solutions for complex business challenges
- Lead engineers on mission-critical projects
- Define roadmaps and the technical vision for scalable and robust pricing platform growth
- Collaborate with engineering teams across geographic locations to build extensible services and support innovation
- Help the team adopt software development and operations best practices while elevating engineering skills
Requirements
- At least 8 years of professional experience in software design and development
- Strong experience with distributed systems and extensive experience building large-scale enterprise platforms
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Exceptional analytical and deep-dive skills with a focus on engineering excellence
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities and tight deadlines
- Proficiency in Java or similar JVM-based languages is preferred
- Experience with Spring Boot or equivalent frameworks is preferred
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS is preferred
- Experience with Kubernetes and Docker is preferred
- Experience with event-driven architectures, stream processing such as Kafka and Flink, and real-time data pipelines is preferred
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and DevOps practices is preferred
- Experience in e-commerce, marketplace, or high-traffic consumer-facing platforms is preferred
