Base Salary
$137k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements, initiatives, product components, and technical solutions.
- Design, develop, and implement scalable features, web services, microservices, tools, and utilities.
- Translate functional requirements into system designs, lead design reviews, and communicate component interactions.
- Lead code reviews and promote reusable code, coding standards, quality metrics, and best practices.
- Create complex test plans, identify test gaps, and address defects.
- Analyze monitoring and data patterns, diagnose root causes, and improve system resiliency and scalability.
- Participate in production implementations, on-call rotations, incident response, troubleshooting, and resolution.
- Develop scripts and SQL/NoSQL solutions for data processing and AI/ML model and feature drift analysis.
- Build developer tools and improve application resilience, observability, and operational support.
- Maintain technical documentation and contribute to estimation, scoping, sizing, proofs of concept, and technology evaluations.
- Develop expertise in Visa’s Dispute business domain and collaborate with client-facing technical teams.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree, at least 2 years with an advanced degree, no stated experience with a PhD, or at least 8 years of relevant experience.
- Experience building and testing applications, enterprise-scale web services, and highly scalable distributed systems.
- Proficiency with Java/J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot, Struts, React, and REST/SOAP web services.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases; DB2, Cassandra, and MySQL experience is preferred.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes or OpenShift, S3, microservices, cloud technologies, batch processing, and data processing.
- Experience with Kafka or Message Broker, Gradle, Git, Python, Spark, Jenkins, Ansible or Chef, and Linux/UNIX shell scripting.
- Experience with automation testing tools such as Selenium, TestNG, or Cucumber.
- Experience with scheduling tools such as Control-M, CA-ESP, or Autosys is desirable.
- Experience leveraging generative AI for development and familiarity with AI/ML are highly desirable.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum, secure software development lifecycle practices, and complex project delivery is preferred.
- Strong debugging, root-cause analysis, problem-solving, communication, and production-support skills.
- Payment or transaction-processing experience, SAFe familiarity, and experience working on client-facing technical teams are preferred.
Benefits
- Estimated US salary range of $137,200.00 to $219,700.00 per year, with potential bonus and equity eligibility.

- At least three days per week in the office, with expectations confirmed by the hiring manager.
- Travel required 5–10% of the time.
