Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure with secondary support for Azure workloads.
- Build, manage, scale, troubleshoot, and secure Kubernetes clusters for containerized workloads.
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, testing, and deployment across environments.
- Manage GitHub Enterprise source control workflows, branch policies, repositories, and access controls.
- Write, maintain, and review Terraform modules for multi-cloud infrastructure provisioning and management.
- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, observability, and incident-response solutions.
- Collaborate with development, security, and platform teams to improve deployment velocity, GitOps practices, security, and developer experience.
- Troubleshoot production issues across cloud infrastructure, container orchestration, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Participate in on-call rotation and incident response.
- Document infrastructure architecture, runbooks, and operational procedures.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in a DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or cloud infrastructure engineering role.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, EKS, Lambda, and CloudFormation.
- Working knowledge of Azure services including AKS, Azure DevOps, VNets, and Azure AD.
- Production experience administering and troubleshooting Kubernetes clusters.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
- Hands-on GitHub Enterprise experience, including repository management, branch protection, and access controls.
- Strong Terraform proficiency, including module design and state management.
- Proficiency in Bash, Python, or Go scripting.
- Understanding of networking concepts including DNS, load balancing, VPNs, and firewalls.
- Experience with Docker and container registries.
- Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, Datadog, or similar monitoring and observability tools.
- Strong understanding of cloud security practices, IAM, secrets management, and least-privilege access.
- Preferred certifications include AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, and Azure Administrator or DevOps Engineer Expert.
- Prior technical military service in the US Air Force or Navy is highly valued.
- Preferred experience includes ArgoCD, Flux, Istio, Linkerd, OPA, Sentinel, regulated environments, and software development or systems engineering.
