Base Salary
$160k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own platform initiatives from scoping and design through implementation, launch, and maintenance.
- Design and build integration infrastructure including services, queues, data pipelines, and asynchronous workflows.
- Lead projects involving junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews, design feedback, and technical guidance.
- Identify and eliminate recurring categories of problems instead of addressing only individual bugs.
- Set technical direction in ambiguous problem spaces and collaborate with Integrations Engineering and adjacent teams.
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience.
- Computer Science degree or comparable experience.
- Experience designing and operating services handling concurrency, failure modes, and meaningful scale.
- Experience with backend platforms or infrastructure, including services, queues, data pipelines, and asynchronous processing.
- Strong systems design skills, including defending tradeoffs and anticipating failure modes.
- Demonstrated autonomous leadership of ambiguous, multi-quarter projects through business outcomes.
- Willingness to drive AI projects forward.
- Preferred experience with third-party APIs, authentication flows, rate limits, browser automation, browser fingerprinting or detection, Python, fintech or comparable regulated environments, and reducing on-call noise.
