Responsibilities
- Lead architecture, design, development, and implementation of software applications supporting the Vision NEXT platform.
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Author technical specifications and convert architecture into actionable designs for development teams.
- Define quality gates covering performance, security, resilience, and operational readiness.
- Set standards for API test automation using RestAssured, Karate, and Postman/Newman.
- Own REST and event-driven integration patterns, including RabbitMQ, webhooks, retry, and idempotency design.
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to engineers across teams.
- Advise clients, executive leadership, global teams, and CIO-level stakeholders on complex technical matters.
- Influence technical roadmaps, solution strategies, and architectural decisions across multiple initiatives.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in software development, solution delivery, software architecture, or related technology disciplines.
- 7+ years of experience providing technical leadership, architecture guidance, or serving as a lead engineer on complex enterprise initiatives.
- 7+ years of hands-on experience with Java, C, C++, C#, or similar object-oriented programming languages.
- Deep expertise in Java and Spring Boot, with the ability to establish coding and architectural standards across teams.
- 7+ years of experience working with SQL databases and data management solutions.
- 3+ years of experience designing and implementing solutions with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- 3+ years of experience working in Agile development environments and methodologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, professional experience, and/or military experience totaling 15+ years.
- Experience in financial services, payments, banking, or fintech is preferred.
- Experience with cloud-native architectures, event-driven systems, APIs, and real-time processing platforms is preferred.
- Experience as a technical lead, architect, or principal engineer on enterprise-scale platforms is preferred.
- Experience evaluating, adopting, and governing AI engineering tools with production examples is preferred.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift is preferred.
- Master’s degree and familiarity with VisionPLUS, Vision NEXT, or large-scale card processing platforms are preferred.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident and bilingual in Spanish or Portuguese.
