
[EMC] Automotive Diagnostic Software Engineer (MA) 1 year contract
Bosch GlobalResponsibilities
- Map ESI standard texts to OEM texts for aftermarket diagnostic tester software.
- Specify requirements and create end-to-end diagnostic content for automotive systems.
- Analyze vehicle communication bus logs and simulate automotive systems using analyzers and simulator solutions.
- Design workflows and test sequences in Bosch standard tools.
- Evaluate OEM diagnostic data and implement useful findings in the target tester.
- Validate diagnostic content on vehicles, assess tester coverage, and create test reports.
- Benchmark and reverse engineer diagnostic testers and review deliverables with recommendations.
- Collaborate with global software engineering teams and travel to workshops or OEM dealerships for testing and release activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Automotive Engineering.
- Automotive Mechatronics Certification.
- Two to three years of experience in automotive diagnostic software or related automotive engineering work.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, subsystems, components, wiring diagrams, and automotive service and repair manuals.
- Proven ability to diagnose and troubleshoot vehicles and make them roadworthy.
- Ability to use diagnostic testers including VIDA, Xentry, GDS, ADT, SDT-II, DiagBox, HDS, Launch, Autel, G-Scan, and Zenith.
- Good knowledge of Bosch Aftermarket Diagnostic Tool ESI [tronic].
- Knowledge of CAN, CAN FD, DoIP, UDS, and J1939.
- Experience with Vector or Samtec analyzer and simulation tools, including HSX and HS+.
