Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and maintain secure, scalable software solutions and production code.
- Create architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure implementation meets design constraints.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, troubleshooting, refactoring, and documentation while validating outputs.
- Analyze and visualize large, diverse datasets to identify patterns and improve coding hygiene, applications, and system architecture.
- Apply software development lifecycle tools and automation capabilities to improve engineering effectiveness.
- Guide peers on responsible AI usage, data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, resiliency, and security practices.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 3 years of applied experience.
- Extensive Java experience and experience developing, debugging, and maintaining Java and SQL code in a large corporate environment.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and critically evaluating, validating, and refining their outputs.
- Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, software development lifecycle practices, and secure and resilient engineering.
- Preferred qualifications include familiarity with JavaScript or TypeScript, GCP, IAM, identity-provider platforms, PingFederate, Kubernetes, Docker, and Kafka.
