Responsibilities
- Build backend services, APIs, automation scripts, dashboards, and lightweight web applications.
- Deploy and operate internal applications using cloud environments, containers, and CI/CD workflows.
- Improve researcher onboarding, documentation, self-service workflows, and internal knowledge sharing.
- Troubleshoot issues across applications, infrastructure, user environments, and integrations.
- Partner with engineering teams to improve adoption, usability, ownership, and supportability of internal platforms.
- Contribute to secure, maintainable, observable, and scalable internal systems.
- Work directly with researchers to understand workflows, identify pain points, and improve tooling and automation.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering skills, preferably in Python.
- Experience building internal tools, APIs, automation, or web applications.
- Experience with AI-assisted and agentic software development tools.
- Familiarity with cloud environments, containers, deployment workflows, and CI/CD.
- Ability to debug technical issues across multiple system layers.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- User-centric, pragmatic, curious, and willing to learn unfamiliar tools, systems, and domains.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust and effective working relationships with researchers.
